The AdWords webinar

My AdWords webinar is coming up shortly. The deal is here:

David Thomas on AdWords

Here’s the important questions:

1. If you purchased a ticket for the training, what questions do you want to have answered during the webinar?

2. If you HAVEN’T purchased a ticket for the training, what questions do I need to answer for you so that you WILL buy a ticket?

Remember, the webinar is scheduled for Wednesday at 23:00 GMT which is somewhat earlier than that in the USA (typically 5 to 8 hours earlier, depending on your time zone), and somewhat later in the rest of Europe and further east. So, to influence this training, I need you to answer these questions now.

Thanks,

David

    Hi David,
Sorry, I don’t use Adwords except when Google send me my free £75.00 ticket.
    Hope the webinar goes well.

First of all: Thank you. Secondly, I live in Southern CAlifornia, USA

I would like to find out how to find:

Search for Targeted keywords in Google for my new websites.

Lastly, I purchased your “Keyword Pro – djt” and I downloaded Kwtxform-1.6.0 beta version. I used it but I don’t understand how it works so that I can be benefited from it. Is there a video training on keyword pro from you? If it is affirmative, can you send me the link to the above email address?

    Thanks a bunch,
    Karen

    Thanks Karen.
Keyword research and targeted keywords are two topics that I already plan to cover.
The only video training that I have done is really the video that appears on the sales page. I need to redo it because it is several years old and it doesn’t appear to work too well with some systems, but it is also shown in a smaller Google Video box that you could try for now.
    Best regards,
    David

Thanks David. Just don’t feel comfortable spending on adwords. My seo traffic is great and at no risk whereas adwords and other ppc traffic is all risk. It works for some if done properly (like you will teach I’m sure) and I know many make a killing using adsense but I prefer no risk strategies to get traffic. Thanks again and all the best with the webinar!

I understand, Mark. Thank you for your reply.
I personally do not advocate sending AdWords traffic to pages that incorporate Google AdSense, because I know at least one person who used to do that and had his AdSense account closed.
I don’t think it’s explicitly against any terms, but Google terminate access to AdWords and/or AdSense as they see fit.
The feedback has been very useful; thanks.

    Well, David…

I’m an SEO guy, so not much into AdWords myself either (just like Syd down there, too) BUT, as I have recently received 2 coupons from AdWords, I guess I could use them and play with it a little bit.

While I know about them well enough, I bet many people on your audience might be interested to learn about the two main sources of paid traffic from AdWords:
    * the search network
    * the content network

So… I’d say, maybe you should focus some of your info towards explaining them better about that.

Hope it will be a good webinar – Wish you luck, mate!

I’ve not used adwords for some time but coming back to it recently for a client and seeing the changes G has introduced, an update on the content network would appeal to me, plus any info on what to do to get long tail keywords to work in search now that G is automatically pausing the keywords if the search traffic falls below a level that they set.

    Hi Steve,
I’ll see what I can find out about the content network changes. I have to be honest and say that I don’t use the content network personally, but I’ll see what information I can gather before the event.
Low search volume is a definite issue, but I leave the keywords listed because I think they get automatically unpaused if the volume comes up. It doesn’t seem to be a problem.

What is the best to use Adwords for? Direct linking? Landing pages? Building a list? How can we get the most out of the Adwords game? Should we promote physical products, or digital, or CPAs? Should we mostly advertise on Search or other networks, such as content network or placement targeting? Is is still worth to fight with Adwords today or it is really becoming to hard to make money with it? Thanks

Thanks Petru; I’ll cover as much of that as I can.
I don’t know anything about CPA so I won’t be able to cover that, I’m afraid.
I’ll try my best with your other questions though.

    Hi David,

I can’t claim to know the first thing about your subject, so I’ve paid to come along for the ride.

Hi, I’m giving my take on adwords as you asked in your email. No matter how good the strategy, adwords remains hugely expensive trial and error. Unless you have $thousands to throw away experimenting with keywords etc (ie, discovering the keywords used by buyers rather than by information seekers) it’s luck of the draw.

It’s quite easy to come up with the keywords used by buyers, and you can even turn information seekers into buyers if you do it right, but I guess you won’t find that out if you believe there is no strategy that works.

Thanks for offering a webinar at a time of day (even if it is at 23h00) that can be attended by people not living in the USA. I take my hat off to you for that.

After burning my fingers badly with adwords as a newbie 18 months ago, I decided to contract my adwords campaigns out to specialist companies with great results in ROI with me focusing on organic search results with article marketing. Even if I could manage a successful ppc campaign myself, its too time consuming with a slap-happy Google and the constant testing and tweaking required.

    Hi André,
I am from the UK. I polled my list, providing options of 20:00, 22:00 and 24:00 for times; 22:00 and 24:00 were joint winners, so I settled on 23:00 which seems to work well.
It also suits me as my daughter is in bed by that time.
