Rapid E-Commerce Site Webinar Course

I’m considering a webinar or webinar course (which depends on how much material I have to cover) on the specific topic of how to set up a site using Wordpress and eShop, and some other plugins, in four hours or less.

Please add your thoughts and tell me what questions you would need such a course to answer.

Also, assuming that I do run with this, I would do this course on a weekday evening. When should each webinar start ideally for you?

I’m interested but can’t commit to a time. But PDF’s, videos and such work for me. But if you do a webinar (I don’t even know what that is for sure) I can try to make it.
Sounds like a good thing for a guy like me that don’t know nothing but would like to be able to sell something online. Thanks,
    LeRoy

    Hi David
Great idea I would appreciate you covering a step-by-step method for doing the set-up and getting products set-up for download.

    David,
I think this is a great idea. I’ve been curious about the eShop plugin for some time so the details of properly setting it up would be useful. Also, I think setting up a merchant account or payment system intimidates a lot of people. Information on doing that properly would be a big help.
Thanks. I appreciate the useful information you share and look forward to your webinar on this topic.

    David,

Would be useful, especially if you can record it. Times are hard to slot in.

    LeRoy,

A webinar is basically an online seminar. You get to hear me talking and see my screen in real-time as I go through each task, so you can see exactly how it’s done. How it differs from a video is that it is a live session, and you can ask questions. The ability to ask questions makes a webinar quite a bit more useful to you if you have joined it, but of course it is not the only way. I can answer questions about the content in blog posts, for example.

In case you cannot attend the webinar live, I will record the session and make it available to customers, but I do recommend joining the webinar if at all possible.

I’m interested in the setup portion of using an e-commerce site. I’d like to learn how to add the description, photo and get the product loaded on the site.

I’d also like to know how to integrate it with a payment option like Paypal.

    Thanks,

    John

    Jimmy,

Certainly I would make video available to customers. I’m not sure about a PDF ebook as that tends to take a lot longer to produce, although I could get a transcript organised – but I’d have to recover the cost, so if I do that, I think that would be an optional extra.

The content you’ve asked for is exactly what I had in mind.

    Tim,

I don’t have all the answers, but I know how to integrate with PayPal, e-Junkie, and (via e-Junkie) Google Payments and 2CO. eShop works with PayPal and there are some other alternatives available. I would be mainly dealing with PayPal as that is what I have experience of, but I will briefly show the other options available.

I’ve been trying to figure out the best way to do an ecommerce resell site myself for awhile now, so what you’re proposing to do just might the ticket.

I know you’ll cover eShop, but I’d like to know how that compares to DLguard and 1Shoppingcart, if you have any experience with those.

Additionally, how to setup an automated email contact method with Aweber or the like, to build a list and stay in contact with the customer to sell more, in addition to sending curtesy emails and such.

I definitely would forward to the webinar.

Thanks David for offering this training. For me, Wordpress is easy to work with until I run into what seems like a minor tweak to a page, or something. Then it takes me forever to figure out what needs to be done.

Since I’m planning on installing eShop, I’m definitely interested in this webinar… I’m open for the time.

    Hi Dale,

I don’t have experience of DLguard or 1ShoppingCart, but I can compare it with JV Manager and the dime sale script if that information would be of use.

I can put something together about list building, but I think that would be a different webinar. In the mean time, I believe there are training resources at Aweber’s own site that you can access without being a customer. I’ll have to look into whether it’s possible to get people to sign up to a list after an eShop purchase; I’m not sure about that.

I had got a desire to begin my own firm, nevertheless I didn’t earn enough amount of money to do it. Thank heaven my close mate told to use the home loans. So I took the short term loan and realized my old dream.
