Great webinar! While I am a professional developer, it is nice to see and hear someone else’s slant on development.
Was well worth my time!

Excellent! Glad you liked it, Gerry.
Thanks also for your comment about the URL of this post. I tried to change it in Wordpress but it was having none of it (it was saying it was done but it wasn’t done) which is why the URL I published was wrong. I’ve corrected it, but I had to go into the MySQL directly to do it!
Thanks again.

What’s your problem with URL ? You want convert URL like this : domain.ltd/category/article_title ?
You have a redirect plugin for wordpress (search in wordpress.org, I don’t remember the name) or you can use http://www.microkid.net/wordpress/permalinks-moved-permanently/

Just a quick note about ClickBank hoplinks. I’ve checked, and the situation is that it is still possible to use the old format http://affiliate.vendor.hop.clickbank.net/ URLs. The script that I presented that records the affiliate hoplink should be compatible with both the old plaintext and the new encrypted formats as both forms cause the ?hop=affiliate query parameter to be passed through to the landing page.
In Aweber, you would send the traffic to http://{!custom aff_id}.myvendorid.hop.clickbank.net/ and you would probably use click-tracking which would hide the fact that it’s a clickbank hoplink.
As I thought during the webinar, in Aweber’s interface you do see the details of any custom parameters that you have set. Although I don’t sell products with ClickBank, I do sell products with JV Manager with which I have used this approach successfully.
